Omega’s story begins in 1848, when Louis Brandt founded the company in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Initially, Brandt assembled precision pocket watches using parts from local craftsmen, selling them across Europe. After his passing, his sons, Louis-Paul and César, took over and revolutionized watchmaking by introducing a system of interchangeable parts in 1894. This innovation led to the creation of the 19-ligne calibre, which was so successful that the company adopted the name “Omega” in honor of this achievement.

By 1903, Omega had become one of Switzerland’s largest watch manufacturers. The brand gained international acclaim for its precision and reliability, becoming the official timekeeper for the Olympics in 1932—a role it continues to hold today. Omega watches have also been part of historic moments, such as being the first watch worn on the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.

Over the years, Omega has introduced iconic models like the Speedmaster, Seamaster, and Constellation, each celebrated for its craftsmanship and innovation. Today, Omega remains a symbol of luxury and precision, blending tradition with cutting-edge technology.
