When you set the time
Make sure that your watch is perfectly dry.
Move the crown carefully to make the various changes that are possible.
Avoid changing the date between 8:00 pm and 4.00 am.
Once the changes are made, push the crown back in and (depending on the model) screw it down against the case to preserve its water-resistance.
When you wind a mechanical watch
When an automatic mechanical watch is not worn for a certain amount of time, its power reserve is exhausted and the watch stops.
To restart it, unscrew the crown if necessary (depending on the model) and wind the movement manually by turning the crown 30-40 times. This will give it a sufficient power reserve to function normally.
Non-automatic watch has to be wound every day, winding is complete when you feel the crown resist. Your watch is then wound to the maximum. It is important not to force the crown of a hand-wound watch.
When you are not wearing your watch
Watches are affected by magnetic fields. Avoid leaving them near any equipment that can create a strong magnetic field such as speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, etc. They can affect the performance of your watch.
If you do not regularly wear your automatic watch, then it is advisable to purchase an automatic watch winder to ensure that the lubricating oil in the movement remains fluid.
Do not leave a flat battery in a quartz watch. Regularly check that a quartz watch is running. If it has stopped or the EOL system is activated (some watches are equipped with an End Of Life system to inform you about the condition of the battery; the second hand till then advance 4 seconds at a time), please contact Premier Watch Repairs Service Center.
When you clean your watch
To maintain the aesthetic appeal of you watch and keep it in good working order, you should clean it regularly as follows:
First make sure the crown is fully screwed down.
If the seals in your watch have been changed and tested at a Premier Watch Repairs Service Centre or other authorized service centres within the last 12 months, then you can use a soft brush and slightly soapy water to clean the case and bracelet, then rinse it with clear water and dry it with a soft cloth. If your watch is fitted with a strap made from fabric, leather, take care not to get it wet.
If you have any doubts about the water-resistance of your watch, simply clean it with a soft brush then dry it.
After each exposure to salt watch, rinse the watch carefully in fresh water then dry it.
Avoid contact with chemical products (solvents, detergents, cosmetics, etc.) They may damage the bracelet and the water-resistance gaskets.
Straps in fabric, leather should avoid all contact with water (baths, showers etc). However, despite your care and attention, leather is a natural, living material and its color will fade a little over time.
When you are wearing your watch in water
The table below indicates recommended activities according to the water-resistance of your watch. These figures are indicative only and do not correspond to a maximum depth of immersion.
