Carriage Terms

Estimate Process Upon receiving your watch, we will provide an estimate within 48 hours based on an initial visual inspection. In some cases, delays may occur due to the need to obtain pricing and availability of parts from the watch houses. If unforeseen work is identified during the repair or service process, we reserve the right to re-estimate. Any additional work will only proceed with your explicit approval.

Service Pack

We use Royal Mail as our preferred delivery service. The Service Pack is provided free of charge for returning items to our workshops for a no-obligation estimate. Please ensure your watch is securely packaged, as neither Royal Mail nor PWR will be held responsible for items improperly packaged by the client.

Packaging Guidelines

To ensure the safe transit of your watch, please follow these guidelines:

  • Use padded envelopes for sharp edges or irregular shapes.
  • Ensure that outer packaging is strong enough to protect its contents.
  • Fragile items should not touch each other within the package.
  • Include your contact details, along with any comments or instructions.
  • Clearly write a return address on the outside of the package.
  • Add a contact name, address, and telephone number inside the package.
  • Securely seal the package with nylon or vinyl tape along all edges.
  • Flatten or tape over any sharp edges from staples or metal fastenings.
  • Use a “FRAGILE” sticker if appropriate.
  • Do not label or indicate anywhere on the package that a watch is enclosed. If necessary, refer only to the company name “PWR.”
  • Avoid including the original presentation box, as it may be damaged during transit.

Royal Mail Special Delivery Service

Items sent to PWR via Royal Mail Special Delivery are insured up to £750 at no additional cost. You may insure items valued up to £2,500 for a small additional premium at your local Post Office. This secure, tracked service ensures:

  • Guaranteed delivery before 1:00 PM
  • Optional Saturday delivery for an additional fee
  • 99% UK coverage
  • Online tracking
  • Electronic proof of delivery
  • Insurance coverage of up to £2,500

Royal Mail guarantees Next Day delivery for Special Delivery items, but this guarantee does not apply if:

  1. There is no recipient available to sign for the item at the delivery address.
  2. The delivery address is within areas not covered by Royal Mail’s Next Day guarantee.
  3. The delivery address uses Royal Mail’s redirection service (in which case delivery times may vary).

Insurance Compensation

Our liability for items sent to us is limited to their intrinsic value. Coverage Details:

  • Compensation of up to £750 is included with our Royal Mail Special Delivery Service at no cost.
  • Additional coverage for items valued up to £2,500 can be purchased at your local Post Office for a small premium.

Claims for Loss, Damage, or Delay

For claims, please adhere to Royal Mail’s policies. Full instructions and claim forms (P58) are available at all Post Office® branches or online via the Royal Mail Help Centre.

Claims must be made within the following timelines:

  • Loss/part loss/damage: Within 12 months of posting.
  • Delay: By the sender within 3 months of posting, or within 1 month of receipt by the recipient.

Supporting documentation is required for all claims, including evidence of the item’s value and proof of postage.

Brands Serviced & Repaired
